every day i become sunburned in a new and exciting area, and consequently, every additional day, i add a new piece ofclothing to my snorkeling outfit. the first day, i wore shorts and a swimsuit. the second day, i wore shorts, a swimsuit, and at-shirt. the third day, i wore a swimsuit, a t-shirt, and pants. the fourth day, i wore a swimsuit, a t-shirt, pants, and a big winter hat. today i wore all of those, plus socks under my flippers an da bandanna around my neck. i can't wait to share with you the photography one of my tripmates took of me in this ridiculous outfit.
my sunburn on my back has finally gotten better, but now i have burns on my feet, ears, face, legs, and arms. i discovered the reason for this, which is that the sunscreen i brought is not actually waterproof, but 'water resistant' instead. yeah... apparently there's a difference, and you can find that difference on my face. oh, well. it will work fine while on safari, as we won't be in the water.
